How to listen::
You don't need an iPod to listen to a podcast. You can listen to the MP3 file on your computer or burn a CD to listen anywhere. Click on the show's title or MP3 icon in the show notes. To download, right-click (windows) or control-click (Mac) the title or icon for a drop-down menu of options. If you can't figure that out, ask a more computer literate person to help you. I won't tell.

In iTunes 4.9 (and newer), select Advanced > Subscribe to Podcast... and paste the URL in the dialog box to get new shows automatically.

Yes! Vinyl is the best for sound. Digitalization has made it easier for people to make music, podcasts, etc, available - but for sound quality, I choose vinyl. Glad I save my old Discwasher brush, too!
PS A new technology doesn't render the old technology obsolete!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've not heard you mention Spottiswoode & His Enemies. Have you heard them, seen them, or their now legendary youtube concert from Joe's Pub?
